Workshop "Navidades a la olla"
Cooking at La Navideña Feria de las Culturas
Cocinar Madrid participated in 2017 with the Navidades a la Olla workshop at La Navideña International Fair of Cultures in Matadero, Madrid.
Two workshops were held on two consecutive days where many children participated, accompanied by their parents. Each workshop involved a different dynamic, adapted to the availability of spaces during the fair, which implied holding the same workshop in up to three different spaces. This, which in principle hindered the normal development of the action, joined the workshop as a fun gymkhana, with a procession included, turning the transfers from one space to another into a party.
On the occasion of the Christmas holidays, a menu based on seasonal fruits and vegetables was proposed to offer delicious, simple, healthy, and seasonal recipes for their incorporation into the Christmas menu. Therefore, we were able to talk and debate about the diversity of customs culinary on these dates.
Both kids and adults had a great time.
