Performing Architecture
Performing Architecture

Ephemeral urban intervention for the event Performing Architecture curated by Ariadna Cantis that was held in Matadero Madrid with the participation of Andrés Jaque, MOOV, Marlon de Azambuja y PKMN.
We transform a commission to make the graphic design for an event into an action for the event itself, a part of the content of the event. We work from the name of the event “Performing Architecture” to carry out an ephemeral intervention in a public space in the city.
For this we start from the appropriation of some of commercial brand strategies that use the advertising format itself as an expression and materialization of its brand image.
We subvert the use that brands make of public spaces, privatizing the urban landscape and monetizing the most privileged spaces in terms of visibility and competition. Through the construction of a giant sign, using cheap and recycled materials, we occupy one of the spaces whose price / m2 for the placement of advertisement items is highest in the city of Madrid.
